Ethics answer writing through Read Think and Write Strategy has been made easy and fun. This is the 15th Day questions on the sub topic empathy, compassion and tolerance. Q.1) Define the following terminologies/concepts/ethical words/principles in your own words. And write an example picking a story from your life or from the life of great leaders/thinkers or a hypothetical story in about 50-70 words for each of the concepts.

Q.2) Explain the significance of empathy, compassion and tolerance in the public service with one example for each of the values. (150 words)

Q.1) Definitions are good. But examples should be a real life incident or from the life of great leaders etc which should signify the importance of the given term.
Examples should not be English grammar learning like – using them in sentence formations.

Q.2) example for compassion not fits well to the need of the answer.
example- Baba Amte was not only empathetic to the leprosy patients he went further and started a Ashram for their well being. His compassion towards them paved way for new attitude in the minds of his followers about leprosy patients.

tolerance example
– India is a country of diversity in every aspects, a civil servant who practice tolerance towards others beliefs, opinions etc can maintain peace in society. An SP who follows the principle of non-violence has to support the processions of other religious communities which are bit violent in nature and cause injury to the participants.

another example can be written about Jallikattu.
