State of Indian Start-up  Ecosystem 2018 report

It is launched by Minister of Commerce and Industry during Inc42‘s flagship event — The Ecosystem Summit.

It is prepared by Inc 42, which is an Indian information platform known for its coverage of the Indian startup ecosystem.

The report is an analysis to help drive strategic decision-making in governance, investments, growth, and other core aspects of the ecosystem.

According to report, India currently has more than 49,000+ startups, 1500+ investors, 250+ incubators, and 26 unicorns. The country is among the three largest startup ecosystems in the world in terms of its size, reach, and impact.

World’s longest ropeway over sea

The Mumbai-Elephanta Ropeway will be the world’s longest ropeway over sea – approximately 8 kms – with all the necessary infrastructure at both the terminal ends.

It will be built at a height of 50 to 125 metres above the sea level on European standards with state of art features. Total travel time will be 16 minutes from one end to the other.

The Project has been envisaged at a cost Rs.800 crores, and will be completed by August, 2022.
