EDUCATIONAL SCHEMES and Miscellaneous
Teaching and Learning aids to Minority Schools:
To improve the quality of learning to the students and the teaching of teachers in minority schools, Teaching and Learning Aids up to Rs. 10,000/- will be supplied to each minority school. The Deputy Commissioner of the District is the Chairman of this selection committee.
Incentive for Minority Students:
In order encourage the minority students to continue their studies incentives are given to PUC, Degree and PG students based on their marks scored in the previous year. The Incentive amount of
- 3000/- per annum is given for the students who have passed SSLC and taken admission in PUC,
- 4000/- per annum for those who have passed PUC and taken admission in degree, and
- 5000/- per annum for those who have passed degree and got admission to PG students.
Family annual income should be not exceeding Rs.2.00 lakh.
INCENTIVE TO SSLC AND 2nd PUC TOPPERS
Applications are invited from students belonging to Minority Communities who have passed SSLC & 2nd PUC with 85% and above score in examination conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board & Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka respectively during the academic year: 2017-18.
Only Top 1000 SSLC & TOP 1000 2nd PUC students belonging to minority communities will get one-time incentive of Rs.10000/- & Rs.20000/- respectively.
Those who have already registered their application as per our previous notification for the incentive need not apply once again.
Last date to apply is 31.08.2018.
To provide facilities Under 9 points Programme to Government Urdu Primary Schools/Urdu High Schools and to sanction Incentives to SSLC and PUC students: –
Government has issued orders under this Scheme to provide facilities for Government Urdu Primary Schools/High Schools under 9-point programme.
To provide Incentive of Rs 10,000 to 250 students who have scored highest marks in SSLC and Rs 20,000 to 250 Pre-University students who have scored highest marks in annual exam State.
For 250 students Rs 20,000 is sanctioned to the students who have scored highest marks in their 2nf PUC (12 standard) examination, from the Chief Ministers Minority Welfare funds.
- To provide Benches and Desks to the students
- To provide Electricity to the class rooms
- Computer facilities
- To provide Laboratory facilities for Science students
- To provide Library facilities
- To prepare Sport fields and construct compound wall
- To provide Sports materials
- To provide Drinking Water facilities
- To provide separate Toilet facilities to both boys and girls
Establishment of religious Minority Chair at Kalburgi University: –
For the studies, development and involvement of Religious Minority activities of (Muslim, Christians, Buddhist, Sikh and Parsis) in their study, research and other activities, Government has sanctioned a chair to be established at Kalburgi University and action is being taken to establish the same.
Modernization of Madrasas: –
Thousands of Muslim youths (Boys and Girls) of Financially poor and Backward Minority families are studying Religious Education in various Madrasas run by Institutions/NG0s.
Many of the Madrasas are deprived of basic facilities like Water, Sports Field, Residential/Hostel facilities, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff and the like. The youths (Boys and Girls) studying religious studies in madrasas are deprived of general and Computer Education.
The Government has sanctioned funds of Rs 50.00 crore and ordered to provide basic facilities and Education to bring these on main streams and on par with other community students.
Establishment of Research Centre of Mohammed Gawan Library at Bidar Town:-
Government has sanctioned a study centre at Bidar town to study and research, the History Books and Literature written by Shri Mohammed Gawan and to translate the same in to Kannada and English languages. Also to purchase the books about his life style maintained at Iran country. The Government has sanctioned one post of Librarian and one post of ‘D’ Group staff for the present to this centre.
